CCTV Operator Training

Course Overview

Our SIA-approved Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry course provides a comprehensive package of skills, delivered to provide a number of challenging and realistic scenarios.
This qualification is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a CCTV operator and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications.
Topics include the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, the importance of safe working practices, drug-misuse legislation, the purpose of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and producing evidential documentation. As specialist trainers, we understand that empowering learners in realistic environments and allowing them to experience certain situations first-hand will help them get the most out of the training experience. It is for that reason that we recommend this training to be delivered at our client's site in the learners' natural environment using their own CCTV system where possible.
