Ubique Risk Management secures an extended multi year contract to deliver continuous enhanced first aid training for our esteemed clients at Cammel Laird Shiprepairers and Shipbuilders. The tailored training provides top-tier first aid training by our subject matter experts at the client's site, utilising realistic scenarios to ensure preparedness and confidence in real-life situations.

Our new versatile training room is where we can create the right training environments for our courses. The new addition offers classroom-style delivery and a more informal "workshop" approach too. Ubique Risk Management is delighted to announce that we shall be providing specialist support to the ATLAS Alliance, which is led by TÜV SÜD Nuclear Technologies. The alliance has been awarded an important four-year contract by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR).
The alliance whose core members are TÜV SÜD, Capgemini, GRS, and Corporate Risk Associates Ltd (CRA) was set up to address the requirements of the ONR Technical Support Framework Agreement and is a strong consortium of companies providing highly specialised engineering and technical services. Ubique Risk Management is one of several additional companies that will provide specialist support to the ATLAS Alliance, bringing further capacity and strengthening the capability offered by the core companies during the framework agreement. Ubique will support the provision of protective security, emergency preparedness, and safeguards assurance.

Ubique Risk Management's Managing Director has been warmly welcomed as a Healthcare Security Professional by the National Association for Healthcare Security (NAHS). The National Association for Healthcare Security (NAHS) was formed in 1994, as a UK non-profit making professional organisation. The NAHS operates in a single national network headed by the Association’s Chairman supported by a board of directors who form the NAHS Executive Committee. The Association’s aim is to support and enable healthcare provision through the delivery of professional security management; promoting and ensuring members are best placed and equipped to provide a safe and secure environment for their organisation's staff, patients and all visitors. The INSF provides a space for a diverse group of international experts to identify, create, and support strategies for reducing nuclear terrorism risks.

Ubique and the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) initially supported the creation of tools and guidance for OAP to be able to undertake a national security Training Needs Analysis (TNA). Subsequently we supported the design and delivery of a bespoke Train the Trainer Course on Technical Skills for the delivery of the RSSM training courses, and our ongoing support includes contributing to the creation of a National Nuclear Security Training Strategy for Thailand.
The WINS/OAP Partnership project, funded by Global Affairs Canada’s Weapons Threat Reduction Program, supports the future establishment and sustainable operation of a Nuclear Security Support Centre (NSSC) at OAP and supports international commitments to enhance competence.

Ubique Risk Management's partnership consortium were selected by Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) to support its activities related to nuclear safety and security over the next 2-4 four years.
This appointment is international recognition of our reputation as specialist providers of safety and security risk management services. This contract was awarded under framework arrangements that are potentially worth up to £4m for the consortium over the next four years.
The consortium was awarded the contracts by DSA in the face of stiff international competition. The consortium includes Ubique Risk Management, ARC, NSG Environmental, Matom, Cerberus Nuclear and Quintessa. The partners bring their own leading expertise in providing a comprehensive range of services in decommissioning, waste management, radiation protection, shielding, risk assessment, safety, and security.
Richard Ross, Ubique's Managing Director, said: “This is a significant appointment for us, because our combined calibre and experience has clearly been recognised. It shows that small and medium-sized enterprises can compete against the large international consortia in open competition.
This appointment is international recognition of our reputation as specialist providers of safety and security risk management services. This contract was awarded under framework arrangements that are potentially worth up to £4m for the consortium over the next four years.
The consortium was awarded the contracts by DSA in the face of stiff international competition. The consortium includes Ubique Risk Management, ARC, NSG Environmental, Matom, Cerberus Nuclear and Quintessa. The partners bring their own leading expertise in providing a comprehensive range of services in decommissioning, waste management, radiation protection, shielding, risk assessment, safety, and security.

Ubique Risk Management is pleased announce that it has recently delivered a webinar to Sellafield nuclear graduates on Security Awareness within the Civil Nuclear Industry as part of the Award for Nuclear Industry Awareness provided by the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN).
The webinar introduced the fundamental aspects of security in Civil Nuclear with the objective of enhancing individuals’ understanding and knowledge. The content covered a range of aspects intended to educate and encourage positive engagement in their organisation’s security culture. It also highlighted common areas of risk and provided guidance on avoiding pitfalls, protecting individuals, their organisations, and the Civil Nuclear Industry.

Ubique Risk Management is proud to partner the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) on a consultancy contract with the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS) who are supporting the Thai Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Thailand.
Ubique and NSAN have collaboratively developed training needs analysis and competency framework methodologies for a variety of Thai stakeholders primarily involved in the security of radioactive sources. This includes regulators, national security, law enforcement agencies, and site licence holders. The project will provide the tools and guidance for OAP to undertake and develop their own training needs analysis and subsequently develop a bespoke Thai competency framework.

The workshop’s intention was to directly support NSSG in identifying Nuclear Skills Challenges with Employers, support and publicity mechanisms, upskilling Providers and Employers, and discuss the UK Government's Strategic Plan and incumbent Civil Nuclear Sector Deal.
The workshop proved very useful for NSSG who have taken the learning back to their Government teams for development and enhancement in direct support of both the Civil Nuclear Industry and Military Nuclear Sector
