The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements.
The course is separated into three Units:
Unit 1: Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry
Unit 3 – Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
The SIA stipulate a minimum number of contact hours and a minimum number of training days. This is a 2 day course, plus pre course distance learning.
It is an SIA requirement that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid prior to starting the Security Officers course. The first aid certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date. Ubique are able to deliver the applicable First Aid training for learners who do not meet this standard.

Please note that a valid SIA licence is required following successful completion of the training to work as a Door Supervisor.
