Course Overview
Our SIA-approved Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry course provides a comprehensive package of knowledge and skills, and introduces a number of challenging and realistic scenarios.
This qualification is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor, and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications. The role of the Door Supervisor is an ever evolving role with a corresponding increase in complexity and responsibility. The risk of criminal attack, terrorism, or general emergency situations has placed an increasing demand on the security sector. Personnel need to be trained and licensed to operate in a wide variety of disciplines to meet the current challenges.
Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities may need trained security staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence. A Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a door supervisor.
