Introduction to Mental Health Awareness Training
Course Overview
Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.
Our 1/2 day Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mental Health Awareness course is suitable for everyone as it provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a suspected mental health condition and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help. All members of the public can benefit from this course and it is a great stepping stone into First Aid for Mental Health.
Learners undertaking this qualification will develop knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of mental health awareness.
Course Syllabus
This qualification consists of a range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects, which learners must complete successfully in order to achieve the qualification. Upon completion of this course learners will:
- Understand mental health and wellbeing
- Understand how mental ill health affects the experience of individuals
- Understand the mental health continuum
- Understand ways to self-manage own wellbeing

This course is delivered over 1/2 day. Class size: up to 12 delegates
